Dwayne Bravo, the West Indies allrounder, has said he hopes the absence of himself and hard-hitting batsman Kieron Pollard from the Trinidad & Tobago squad for the 2011 Caribbean T20 event will give young players a chance to take up the mantle for the regional side.Bravo and Pollard have both opted to play in Australia’s Twenty20 Big Bash, which will be played from December 30 to January 5, and will miss their domestic tournament that will be held in Antigua and Barbados from January 10 to 23. Bravo signed for Victoria, while Pollard will play for South Australia.”The decision not to play for T&T was a tough one, as we remain committed to T&T’s cricket,” Bravo told . “However, with Pollard and myself not being there, I hope two young players can step up to the plate and make a name for themselves.”Bravo and Pollard are the most experienced players in the T&T squad, and were key in their successful run in 2008 and 2009, when they won the now defunct Stanford 20/20 and then reached the final of the 2009 Champions League Twenty20.The pair’s decision to skip the domestic event had raised concerns over their commitment to West Indies cricket, but Bravo said they had been encouraged by the support from the T&T Cricket Board. “We felt a lot better by the fact that we got the support of the board and we wish T&T all the best in the tournament. I will be following the exploits of the team very closely from Australia and will be in touch with the team giving my support.”In September, T&T team manager Colin Borde said he believed Bravo and Pollard were both still committed to West Indies cricket, despite their decision not to sign national contracts with the WICB. Bravo and Pollard were both given no-objection certificates to play in the Big Bash by the WICB, however they do run the risk of not being selected to play for West Indies in Twenty20 internationals if the board follows up on their rule of participation in regional competitions being mandatory for national selection in the corresponding format of the game.Bravo pointed out the CT20 was an important tournament for T&T as they had failed to win any trophies in the last year. “I see no reason why T&T cannot go on and win the tournament and make up for the disappointment of the 2010 season. We really did not have a good season and the guys should keep this in mind and got out there and play their hearts out.”

Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni could potentially join Liverpool this summer, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Jurgen Klopp could be looking to make midfield reinforcements this summer, considering it is an ageing area of the Reds’ squad.

One player who has been linked with a move to Liverpool is Tchouameni, who is arguably one of Europe’s most highly-rated young midfielders.

The 22-year-old has been an influential performer for Monaco throughout this season, averaging 2.5 tackles and 2.8 interceptions per game in Ligue 1.

The Latest: Romano drops fresh claim

Speaking on his YouTube channel [via This Is Anfield], Romano claimed that Liverpool are in the conversation with a ‘huge chance’ to sign Tchouaemi this summer:

“So keep an eye on Liverpool, keep an eye on what happens at Manchester United, because they will go for a midfielder.

“But at the moment, there are still no negotiations open for Tchouameni. But he could be a huge chance for the Premier League clubs. I’m told that they are really keen on signing him in the summer.”

The Verdict: Perfect summer addition

Tchouameni is an enormous prospect who has been described as ‘extraordinary’ by Paul Pogba, and he looks like someone who could be the perfect addition to Liverpool’s midfield.

He could come in as a squad player initially but it likely wouldn’t take long before he was an integral part of Klopp’s team, combining quality on the ball  – he enjoyed a 90.9% pass completion rate across five appearances for France in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers – with tenacious work off it.

With the likes of James Milner, Jordan Henderson and Thiago all now in their 30s, and Fabinho turning 29 this year, it is vital that fresh legs come in in the middle of the park. Tchouameni is perfect, in that respect.

Journalist and transfer ‘insider’ Dean Jones has made a behind-the-scenes West Ham United claim on midfield star Declan Rice’s future at the club.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, Jones claimed that the 23-year-old is set for a ‘big’ conversation with West Ham behind-the-scenes and there is ‘no doubt’ clubs will be knocking on the door.

He explained: “Declan Rice is going to have to have a big conversation with West Ham at the end of the season, no matter what happens.

“There’s no doubt that there’s going to be two or three clubs asking the question of how much would you actually sell this guy for?”

The Verdict: Interesting summer ahead…

There is little danger of manager David Moyes losing his superstar player this window given West Ham’s hard-line sale stance and the fact GSB have an option to extend his contract by a further year.

However, if Rice pushes for a possible move away, West Ham may be pressured somewhat to entertain interested clubs as to not disrupt the harmony of Moyes’ squad.

That being said, any price below £100 million simply shouldn’t be considered given his obvious quality, the fact Rice is homegrown and may only get better.

According to WhoScored, the colossal Three Lions international has averaged a fifth-best passing accuracy per game on average out of every Premier League player in the division (91.6%) – backing his composure and assurance at an impressively young age.

He’s also in high demand, putting West Ham in a position of strength to command a justifiable fee for his services.

Ideally, Moyes will have another season or two with Rice in his squad, but this summer could be a very interesting one nonetheless.

Taking note of the continuing decline in the governance of cricket in Pakistan, the ICC has given the PCB a hard rap on the knuckles and decided to monitor closely the running of the game in Pakistan. After a two-day board meeting at the ICC’s HQ in Dubai – the first since the spot-fixing scandal that rocked the world of cricket – the message of the world governing body to one of its leading members was clear: sort out the game’s administration or face the consequences, potentially in the form of sanctions.A wide-ranging series of measures has been approved by the ICC requiring Pakistan to not only toughen its approach to corruption within the game but to also work alongside the ICC’s task force on Pakistan “to carry out any reforms which may be deemed necessary to restore confidence in the administration of the game” in that country.In this statement lies an implicit recognition and acknowledgment of the administrative mishaps in Ijaz Butt’s two-year tenure, as well as the breakdown in relationship between the board and ICC. Under Butt’s administration, the ICC has seen a full member attacked by terrorists in Pakistan, an incident that took international cricket away from the country. That almost led to a legal battle between the PCB and ICC and, though it was averted, the PCB didn’t even file a report on the incident to the ICC until well over a year later.The ICC’s task force, initially set up to examine ways to bring international cricket back to Pakistan and cushion against subsequent financial losses, has been “reconstituted” for this purpose; in effect, it’s brief has been widened to go beyond and look at ways to work with the PCB in improving governance. Giles Clarke, the ECB chairman who heads the task force, is believed to have played a crucial role in the meetings to broaden the force’s role. Peter Chingoka, the ZC chairman who has also extended a helping hand to the PCB by offering his national side as the first tourists to Pakistan since the terror attacks, has been appointed to the team, which also includes Ranjan Madugalle, Ramiz Raja, Mike Brearley and Dave Richardson, the ICC’s general manager.The spot-fixing scandal that erupted during the tour to England this summer has also brought its own specific repercussions. The Pakistan board refused to initially suspend the three players at the centre of the scandal, eventually compelling the ICC to do so. That sparked another war of words between Butt and the ICC, the former claiming the latter had acted with undue haste as the police investigation was ongoing. Matters took a bizzare twist when Butt claimed there was “loud and clear talk” of England’s players taking money to lose an ODI this summer. He was forced to retract the statement after the ECB threatened legal action and the whole affair prompted some within the ICC to consider the possibility of suspending Butt from his ICC directorship.It is against this backdrop that the ICC has told the PCB that “it must act and be seen to be acting to uphold the zero-tolerance attitude to corruption in sport.” Pakistan now has 30 days to conduct a thorough and far-reaching review of their “player integrity issues” and report back to the task force.In the review, the PCB must show that it has introduced a domestic anti-corruption code, in line with the ICC’s own code. Not all member countries currently have a domestic code but the ACSU has only requested all members to implement a domestic code that mirrors the ICC’s, a sign of how seriously it is considering the problem in Pakistan. The PCB has also been asked in that time to implement an education programmes for players, a “proper, accountable and robust disciplinary process for the sport” and a process to deter and detect corrupt elements within the game, “whether it be players, officials, agents or any other individual.”In effect, the PCB has been asked to take measures which should’ve been taken ten years ago after the Qayyum commission report, a decade in which the clouds of corruption have hovered consistently over Pakistan cricket. Failure to do so could lead to sanctions according to the ICC, though the nature of these have not been specified. The worst case scenario – and an extremely unlikely one – is that Pakistan is suspended as a full member, though it is thought a likelier option might be to find ways to deal with officials other than Butt.With Butt’s recent statements in mind, the board has also been told not to take any action “which might put themselves in a conflict of interest position as regards the allegations” that are currently under investigation, or to make “public comments and disclosing confidential information which undermine the integrity, reputation and image of the game and/or any ongoing disciplinary or criminal investigation/proceedings.”All of which is likely to place further pressure on Butt, who has already been facing severe criticism domestically from across the spectrum. Rumours were rife last week that he was about to be replaced, though that has come to nought.

لعب ديباي 3 مباريات فقط مع برشلونة منذ بداية الموسم، 116 دقيقة في الدوري الإسباني خلال مباراتين، وشارك في 15 دقيقة فقط في دوري أبطال أوروبا.

يريد برشلونة التخلص من اللاعب من أجل تخفيض فواتير رواتب اللاعبين العالية، والتي خُفضت بشكل كبير أيضًا بإعلان بيكيه اعتزاله وتخليه عن المتبقي في عقده.

بينما ينظر ديباي أنه يمكن الاستمرار لنهاية الموسم والحصول على قيمة عقده كاملًا ثم الرحيل مجانًا، وهو ما سيجعله يحصل على مكافأة توقيع مجاني للنادي الذي سيذهب إليه، أو الرحيل في يناير لكن بالشروط التي وضعها.
