Tottenham Hotspur are proving to be tough competition in the race for the signature of Fiorentina striker Dušan Vlahović and are considered to be ahead of other prospective suitors, as per Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Sport Witness).

The Lowdown

Over the course of the past year, the Serbian striker has been linked with a myriad of clubs. The 21-year-old prospect has received widespread attention across Europe after scoring 15 goals in 17 Serie A games this season, and former Manchester City ace Stevan Jovetić has even been quoted saying that “he will be the best striker of the next few years with Erling Haaland”.

The Serbia international’s contract in Florence is set to expire in the summer of 2023. This means that the Serie A club may be forced to sell him by next summer if they want to avoid the possibility of him leaving on a free transfer the following year.

Despite him having a current market value of £45m, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso will demand a fee of at least €70m (£59.5m) for Vlahović in the January transfer window.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Sport Witness), Tottenham are proving to be tough competition in the race for Vlahović’s signature, and they are considered to be above other contenders in their pursuit of the 21-year-old, or ‘above all’ as the report put it.

Italian duo Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici are believed to have identified the Fiorentina attacker as the perfect addition to the Spurs squad.

Tottenham face competition from Juventus, who have also targeted Vlahović in their search of a new number nine. It is reported that Spurs have a vastly superior budget to the Turin club, which could prove to be the deciding factor if the player is allowed to leave in the January transfer window.

The Verdict

With Harry Kane having scored just one Premier League goal in 13 games this season, it may be essential that Tottenham bring in a striker to bolster their attacking options in their bid for Champions League qualification.

Vlahović could be the answer to Conte’s Kane dilemma, with the Serbian netting a goal in every 101 minutes this season.

However, despite this encouraging report, it could be difficult for Spurs to secure the services of the prolific Serbian striker, as a number of European giants are set to battle it out for the player. Also, the likes of Juventus can offer him Champions League football, a selling point that Tottenham don’t have.

If there’s one position that Aston Villa have plenty of options, it’s in attack. That has left striker Keinan Davis with a problem because to him, a lack of game time is not a good thing in any way.

What’s the talk?

During an appearance on The Beautiful Game Podcast, Davis revealed that he is open to leaving the Premier League club on loan on January and would even consider dropping to the Championship for more regular game time.

He said, “To look at, it [his situation] doesn’t look too good. The minutes I have got have been like eight or nine minutes, but it’s all appearances. I know it, the coaches know it and everyone in football knows it (how important it is to play),” Davis said.

“For me, I would say I need a good clean run of games whether that’s at Villa or somewhere else just to get experience and get goals and stuff like that.

“Depending on what the club say, that’s something I would like to do, to play more consistent games, so yeah,” Davis concluded.

“For a player like me, I’m still young. I’m trying to find my way. Going down to the Championship, I wouldn’t see that as a step back at all.”

Not a loss for Villa

The Villa academy graduate made an impression on the first team when he broke through during an injury crisis in the 2019/20 season, making 18 appearances as Dean Smith’s side struggled for goals but eventually avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth.

The following season he found himself down the pecking order again after Ollie Watkins’ arrival from Brentford but he scored his first (and only) Premier League goal to date against West Brom with an injury-time equaliser. This season, however, he has featured for just 11 minutes in the Premier League and is keen to get more action after the arrival of Danny Ings.

At 23-years-old, game time is key for his development and it’s quite evident that he isn’t in the first-team plans of new manager Steven Gerrard having yet to feature at all under him.

It would do absolutely no harm to Villa’s aspirations this season to let him go and play, while potentially putting him in the shop window for a permanent move away if needed to bring in some cash and get his £45k-per-week wages off the books.

His physique and physical style of play have previously seen him described as a “big presence” upfront and he could do well with a run of games elsewhere.

After all, his tally of just six senior goals in 86 games is nowhere near good enough. With Villa looking at signing yet another forward in Julian Alvarez this summer, Davis must be ruthlessly axed to make room.

وذكر رومانو في تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة “ليفربول إيكو” البريطانية، أن ليفربول كان يضع عينه على الدولي الفرنسي أوريلين تشواميني لاعب وسط فريق ريال مدريد الحالي عندما كان لاعبًا في موناكو.

تشواميني تألق رفقة موناكو في الدوري الفرنسي، وكلوب كان يرى أن الفرنسي سيكون ملائمًا للفريق، ولكنه انضم إلى ريال مدريد في صفقة كلفت خزائن النادي الملكي حوالي 100 مليون يورو.

كشفت صحيفة “سبورت” الإسبانية عن مفاجأة في بدايات الدولي البولندي، روبرت ليفاندوفسكي، بشأن نادٍ إسباني كان سينضم إليه مع بداية مشواره الاحترافي في كرة القدم.

ليفاندوفسكي قبل الانتقال إلى بوروسيا دورتموند وبداية مشواره الأسطوري، كان لاعبًا في لخ بوزنان البولندي، وقضى معه عامين، من 2008 وحتى 2010 بعد رحيله من زنيتش بروشكوف من بولندا أيضًا.

وقالت الصحيفة الكتالونية في تقرير لها إن ليفاندوفسكي كان على أعتاب اللعب في الليجا مُنذ سنوات عديدة، وذلك في عام 2008، عندما عرضه وكيله السابق سيزاري كوتشارسكي على سبورتنج خيخون.

وأوضحت الصحيفة أن وكيل ليفاندوفسكي لم يتلق أي إجابة من النادي الإسباني، لينتهي الأمر بالشاب البالغ من العمر 19 عامًا حينذاك والذي كان يلعب بدوري الدرجة الثالثة في بولندا، بالانتقال إلى صفوف ليخ بوزنان.

وبدأت رحلة احتراف ليفاندوفسكي خارج بولندا عام 2010، حين انضم لصفوف بوروسيا دورتموند، ثم انتقل بعدها إلي بايرن ميونخ وحقق العديد من الألقاب والإنجازات الفردية والجماعية.

وانضم ليفاندوفسكي لصفوف برشلونة خلال الانتقالات الصيفية الماضية، مقابل 45 مليون يورو، بالإضافة إلى 5 ملايين أخرى كمتغيرات إضافية.

It was one of five accurate long passes from the ‘keeper on Saturday, the joint-second highest figure among Lage’s team (SofaScore).

كشف مصدر داخل اتحاد الكرة المصري عن اتخاذ قرار مفأجي بشأن المدير الفني للجبلاية في الفترة الحالية.

وكان اتحاد الكرة وجه الشكر للبرتغالي نيلو فينجادا من منصب المدير الفني للجبلاية.

وقال المصدر في تصريحات لـ”بطولات”: “اتحاد الكرة أغلق نهائيًا ملف الاستعانة بمدير فني للاتحاد، وستكتفي الجبلاية بإدارتي المدربين والمنتخبين الذين تم تشكيلهما مؤخرًا”.

وأكمل: “جمال علام أعطى صلاحيات أكبر لجمال محمد علي عضو المجلس، الذي يشرف على إدارة المدربين حيث سيتولى جمال علام ملف المدربين، بالإضافة إلى إنه سيعقد اجتماعات دورية مع مدربي المنتخبات من أجل الإطلاع على خططهم للمرحلة المقبلة”.
