وفاز فريق شباب بلوزداد الجزائري على الزمالك بهدف نظيف من ركلة جزاء، على أرضية ملعب استاد القاهرة الدولي.

وقال مختار في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر قناة “أون تايم سبورتس”: “كنا نعلم أن مواجهة الزمالك لن تكون سهلة، حتى ونحن نعلم أنه يمر بأزمات في هذه الفترة”.

وأوضح: “خضنا مواجهة الزمالك من أجل الفوز وحصد الثلاثة نقاط، والحمد لله عدنا بنتيجة إيجابية تُساعدنا في مرحلة التأهل للدور التالي إن شاء الله، وكنا نستطيع أن نُسجل أكثر من هدفين”.

واختتم: “الفوز على الزمالك في ملعبه هو للتاريخ، كان عندنا دافع كبير لتحقيق الفوز، وأننا لو سجلنا الجماهير ستضغط على فريقها وهذا في صالحنا”.

Haryana were third time lucky. After being forced out of the quarter-finals in two previous seasons by stronger teams, Haryana qualified for the semis for the first time since 1990-91, when Kapil Dev’s team went on to beat Bombay by two runs in one of the most tense finals in Ranji Trophy history. Amit Mishra’s team secured their spot in the final four with a six-wicket victory against Karnataka, a shock defeat for the hosts.Chasing 142 for victory, Haryana’s openers Rahul Dewan and Nitin Saini built a formidable platform for the second time in the match. Saini had been the navigator during the first-innings stand of 152, but today he dominated the partnership of 75. He reached his second half-century of the game by cover-driving Stuart Binny towards the end of the second session.Immediately after the tea break, however, NC Aiyappa seamed the old ball into the pads of Saini, who reacted lazily, and it deflected on to the stumps. A couple of overs later Dewan was also deceived by late away movement from Binny and was caught behind. Then Sunny Singh, attempting to play a shin-high delivery on the leg side, mistimed the shot and the leading edge went back to the bowler SL Akshay.Akshay made good use of the cracks in the pitch and Sachin Rana was the second Haryana batsman to get deceived by the variable bounce. Four wickets had fallen for 32 runs, but Prateek Pawar and Priyank Tehlan secured victory with a 35-run partnership.In hindsight, the 74-run partnership for the eighth wicket between Mishra and Mohit Sharma in the first innings proved decisive. It helped Haryana recover after seven wickets had had fallen for 36 runs and also gave then a lead of 121. Karnataka could single out two causes for their defeat: a lack of partnerships and sloppy fielding, a problem they’ve had through the season.They suffered from it today, too. Dewan was on 5 when he edged Aiyappa and was dropped by wicketkeeper CM Gautam. Two balls later Dewan was opened up by a fabulous delivery that shaped away after pitching on off stump. Gautam misread the line this time and moved to the wrong side, allowing the thick outside edge to go for four. Aiyappa was visibly annoyed. Such errors allowed Saini and Dewan to regain rhythm and build a crucial opening partnership, which formed the spine of Haryana’s victory. For the hosts, there were no such alliances.Karnataka had started the day leading by one run with seven wickets in hand, but lost Amit Verma off the first delivery. Harshal Patel, Haryana’s hero on the first day with eight wickets, trapped Verma lbw with one that pitched a few inches outside leg stump. The umpire Amiesh Saheba deliberated for a moment before raising his finger.Bowling with an upright seam, Patel got the ball to reverse swing straightaway had nearly had Binny lbw with the final ball of the same over. Binny survived because of an inside edge. The combination of several cracks in the pitch and early morning moisture hindered the batsmen’s movements.The Karnataka captain Ganesh Satish was a victim of the variable bounce, when Rana hit one of the cracks and deviated the ball into the pads, hitting him shin height in the line of off stump. All three of Rana’s victims were lbw, caught plumb by the incoming delivery.Binny then committed a terrible mistake. Facing the first delivery from the medium-pacer Sharma, Binny played a golf-swing like drive over mid-on, and the leading edge sailed into the hands of Dewan at point. Karnataka’s lead was only 48 and they had lost six wickets. Gautam, the last specialist batsman, departed to an equally unnecessary stroke – an attempted cut against Ashish Hooda from outside off stump, which was edged to Saini.Karnataka’s tail, however, wagged longer than expected, adding 79 runs for the last three wickets. Sunil Raju and Akshay had a 33-run partnership for the eighth wicket and a 40-run stand between KP Appanna and Aiyappa added to Haryana’s frustration. It did not matter in the end, though, because the underdogs Haryana played with grit to make the semi-finals.

O Paysandu foi superior, teve tranquilidade para segurar o resultado e foi o time que mais buscou balançar as redes nesta sexta-feira. No dia do centenário da Curuzu, o Papão venceu o Figueirense por 2 a 0, na 18ª rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro, da Série B. Os gols foram marcados por Pedro Carmona e Dionathã, de pênalti. Ainda no confronto, houve quatro expulsões, três para os visitantes e um dos donos da casa.

Com o resultado, o Paysandu vence a segunda seguida e somou 24 pontos, na décima posição. O Figueirense, por sua vez, perdeu a chance de se aproximar do líder e continuou com os 28 somados, na terceira colocação.

Pela última rodada do turno, os times jogam na próxima terça-feira. O Paysandu encara o Atlético-GO, às 21h30, no Olímpico, em Goiânia. Mais cedo, às 19h15, o Figueirense encara o CRB, no Orlando Scarpelli, em Florianópolis.

PRIMEIRO TEMPO

O Paysandu foi melhor durante a primeira etapa por completa. Os bicolores iniciaram a partida acelerados, sem dar respiro para o Figueirense, e em menos de cinco minutos já tinhaM ameaçado três vezes o gol. Aos 30 minutos, a melhor chance de gol aconteceu para os donos da casa, com Mike, que tentou de calcanhar empurrar para o fundo das redes, porém sem sucesso. Nos acréscimos, mais dois lances perigosos.

O Figueirense, por sua vez, não teve criação no meio campo e apostou nos contra-ataques e procurou também reter a maior posse de bola. Contudo, as finalizações não foram efetivas para balançar as redes dos donos da casa.

SEGUNDO TEMPO

O Papão ficou maduro na etapa inicial, e acabou premiado com o gol no início da segunda etapa. O volante Nando Carandina avançou pela direita, entrou na área e fez o passe para Pedro Carmona marcar.

Após balançar as redes, a linha de marcação do Bicolor recuou, permitindo campo para os alvinegros, porém sem oferecer grandes perigos. O Papão ainda teve uma oportunidade de ampliar, com Mike, que desperdiçou.

Para piorar a situação do Figueirense, três jogadores expulsos aos 34 minutos. Gustavo Ferrareis, que entrou em dividida, André Luis por reclamação, e sobrou até para o goleiro reserva dos catarinenses, para Alisson.

O Papão teve oportunidade para ampliar. Foi de pênalti que Dionathã assegurou a vitória por 2 a 0, no Centenário da Curuzu, fazendo a alegria dos torcedores bicolores.

Andrew Symonds, the former Australia allrounder, has announced his retirement from professional cricket, citing family reasons. He hasn’t played for Australia since being sent home from the World Twenty20 in England three years ago, but has turned out for several domestic sides in limited-overs cricket.His only current contract was with the Mumbai Indians, but he will not be participating in this year’s IPL. “Effective immediately, I am retiring from all forms of professional cricket,” Symonds said. “It is with regret that I will not be able to fulfill my final year of the IPL with the Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians and the IPL have both been very supportive of me, but the impending arrival of my first child is a priority.”Symonds, 36, had cut ties with his home side Queensland before the 2010-11 Big Bash, and has only played for Mumbai since. He was snapped up for $850,000 at the IPL auction last year, but he had an indifferent time with Mumbai. Symonds failed to make a half-century in either the IPL or the Champions League T20 in 2011, and struggled to hold down a permanent spot in the line-up.Mumbai thanked Symonds for his performance in 2011. “Andrew Symonds was an integral part of Mumbai Indians in season four as well as our Champions League-winning team,” a team spokesman said. “He was a great team player and the youngsters always looked up to him for guidance.”A two-time World Cup winner, Symonds was an acknowledged master of limited-overs cricket. A combination of big-hitting, tigerish fielding and an ability to bowl either spin or medium-pace made him an indispensable part of the Australia side for much of the 2000s. Picked on his undoubted but as yet unfulfilled promise for the 2003 World Cup, Symonds crashed a match-shaping century against Pakistan, hours after the team had been stunned by Shane Warne’s withdrawal due to a drugs offence.He remained integral to the ODI team thereafter, though given to occasional bouts of indiscipline. Symonds was dropped from the team in England in 2005 when he turned up for an ODI against Bangladesh in Cardiff while still under the influence of alcohol. The issue of drinking would re-emerge in 2008.At the time it seemed Symonds had belatedly transferred his ODI influence form to Test matches, but he became embroiled in the biggest controversy of his career after alleging that India offspinner Harbhajan Singh racially abused him in the Sydney Test in 2008.The fall-out from the episode, which had Harbhajan’s original ban reduced to a fine after Cricket Australia cut a side-deal with an indignant Indian board in order to save the tour, caused Symonds to become disillusioned and increasingly wayward in his lifestyle, both with and away from the national team.His international career was hit by more trouble later that year, when he missed a compulsory team meeting to go on a fishing trip ahead of a one-day series against Bangladesh. He was left out for the India tour which followed, as well as the visit to South Africa soon after.Symonds was given a chance to prove himself once more at the World Twenty20 in 2009, but an alcohol-related issue prior to the tournament brought his Australia days to an end.

Nesta quarta-feira, o Ovación noticiou que Óscar Tabárez teve uma reunião com membros do Comitê Executivo da AUF (Associação Uruguaia de Futebol) para tratar de sua permanência na seleção do país. De acordo com o veículo, haverá um novo encontro na quarta-feira.

O contrato de Tabárez chegou ao fim após a Copa do Mundo na Rússia e ele chegou a anunciar que não permaneceria, mas a situação pode mudar nos próximos dias. Desde antes do Mundial, Aguirre é um dos nomes mais comentados para substituí-lo. Foi por isso que o São Paulo só assinou com ele após receber a garantia de permanência pelo menos até dezembro.

– Acho que ele(Aguirre) não está se guiando muito por isso, pelos rumores com relação à seleção uruguaia. Falamos disso no início, ele disse que não iria no meio do ano, e desde então ele faz questão de dizer que está muito feliz aqui, já pensando em futuro. Não existiu nenhuma conversa direta sobre renovação, mas existe um processo para isso. Ele já foi consultado, está bem aqui, diz que está feliz. Agora é uma construção de uma situação futura, obviamente a gente tem a prioridade de continuar com toda essa comissão – disse Raí, ao Sportv.

Na mesma entrevista, o diretor admitiu certa surpresa com a rapidez com que os jogadores absorveram os métodos de Aguirre e passaram a dar resultado.

-O que pode surpreender é a velocidade. Ele chegou no meio da temporada, em uma situação complicada, e a resposta ao trabalho dele foi muito rápida. Já era um bom grupo, a gente sabia desde o início, e acho que ele soube cutucar os pontos certos. Os jogadores acreditaram no trabalho dele, responderam ao trabalho dele. O estilo dele de saber mexer, de ter uma concorrência saudável, ser direto com os atletas, foi passando confiança. A gente já tinha essa expectativa, mas a velocidade foi realmente acima do normal.

Aguirre foi eliminado do Paulistão pelo Corinthians e da Copa do Brasil pelo Atlético-PR com poucos dias de trabalho, mas já mostrando evolução. No Brasileirão, é o líder após 18 rodadas disputadas. Na Sul-Americana, perdeu por 1 a 0 para o Colón no jogo de ida e vai em busca da vaga nas oitavas de final às 21h45 desta quinta-feira, na Argentina, precisando da virada.

O primeiro tempo ficou marcado pelas raras oportunidades. Na zona de rebaixamento, o CRB só atacava na boa e preferia deixar a posse de bola com o Fortaleza, que pouco criava.

A única chance do Galo veio nos primeiros minutos. Após cruzamento de Lucas, o meia Edson Ratinho cabeceou no contrapé de Boeck e a bola triscou a trave.

Tímido no campo ofensivo, o Fortaleza quase não assustou João Carlos. Diante da dificuldade, o chute mais perigoso surgiu com o volante Derley, que soltou a bomba e o arqueiro espalmou.

Se a primeira etapa não teve emoção, o segundo caminhava para o mesmo panorama até os 20 minutos. Marcelo Boeck cobrou tiro de meta, Claudinei cortou de cabeça e Neto Baiano, sempre ele, ganhou na corrida dos zagueiros e tocou por cima do goleiro do Fortaleza para abrir o marcador.

O empate do Fortaleza veio em raro momento de lucidez do ataque. Romarinho levou a marcação pelo lado direito e cruzou para Gustavo. O artilheiro cabeceou e balançou a rede de João Carlos.
