Entre os muitos dias marcantes da carreira do anida jovem centroavante, está o dia 21 de agosto de 2013, quando Gabriel Barbosa, com 17 anos, fez algo que se acostumaria a fazer depois: balançou a rede adversária pela primeira vez.

Foi contra o Grêmio, na Vila Belmiro, pelas oitavas de final da Copa do Brasil. O técnico Claudinei Oliveira, hoje no Goiás, foi quem acionou o “Menino da Vila”, mas, ao LANCE!, revelou que o garoto não seria nem relacionado para o duelo.

– O primeiro gol dele foi uma história curiosa. Ele não estava convocado para o jogo. Quando chegamos ao vestiário para o duelo contra o Grêmio, o Victor Andrade relatou aos nossos médicos que tinha tomado uma medicação e ela era doping. Não podíamos contar com ele. O Gabriel seria uma opção, ele estava lá (na Vila Belmiro) e foi participar da preleção. Perguntei ao Gabriel se ele estava com chuteira, mas não lembro se usou a chuteira de alguém. Ele se trocou e foi para o jogo – relatou Claudinei Oliveira, antes de completar:

– Eu fui iluminado, porque haviam outros jogadores. No momento que precisou colocar atacante optei pelo Gabriel. Achei que o estilo de jogo dele encaixaria bem. Ele entrou e fez o gol no Dida. Foi uma bola cruzada, rasteira e direto para o gol. No jogo da volta ele atuou, fez gol, mas, infelizmente, estava impedido.

كشف أحمد جاب الله، طبيب النادي الأهلي، عن حالة رضا سليم لاعب الفريق بعد الجراحة التي أجراها لتثبيت عظمة الترقوة، إثر الإصابة التي تعرض لها في مباراة صن داونز الجنوب إفريقي.

وكان رضا سليم تعرض للإصابة خلال مباراة الأهلي وصن داونز في إياب دور نصف نهائي دوري السوبر الإفريقي (الدوري الإفريقي).

وقال جاب الله في تصريحات عبر الموقع الرسمي للأهلي: “رضا سليم حالته مطمئنة للغاية، بعد الجراحة التي ‏خضع لها في عظمة الترقوة”.

He is aggressive and oozes enthusiasm. But all those bricks may not fit into the house South Africa are building for the semi-final, where Abbott may not fit into the starting XI.He remains part of South Africa pace-attack’s second-tier, behind Dale Steyn, Vernon Philander and Morne Morkel, and he knows it. “It’s quite a hard space to be in sometimes, especially if the team is on a roll and there aren’t many changes and you’re just sort of waiting. But it’s also quite exciting because you can get a gap and then it goes well for you and you look like a hero,” Abbott said.That’s what Abbott was three days ago – a hero – in Sydney, where he opened the door to a historic quarter-final win when he took the first wicket against Sri Lanka. South Africa ran through their opposition after that and one of the reasons they were able to was because they made the right selection in Abbott, even if they were forced into making it.Abbott was not part of the quarter-final because he was picked ahead of Philander but because of necessity. A CSA press release explained Abbott’s inclusion as a replacement for “the injured Vernon Philander,” who missed three of the six pool games with a hamstring strain sustained a month at the MCG, that is troubling him.Against India, Philander was absent from the field for most of the match after bowling four overs at the start and going off. I prepared myself the night before to play so it wasn’t as rushed as the last game at Eden Park, I had a bit of time to focus and get myself together, which was nice,” Abbott said.The lesson Abbott took from all that was to “make sure I am prepared for every game as though I am going to play. You just have to wing it. What else do you really do?” And so, as the semi-final draws nearer and Philander’s recovery continues, all Abbott can do is watch and wait and work on his own game.”At the moment I still think I am part of it, until I am told otherwise,” Abbott said. “It’s easier to get myself ready for it and then let down and told I am not playing rather than the other way around – and think I am not playing and then I have to switch on. I would rather switch on from a couple of days out and get my mind ready and then be let down. That’s the easier way around.”Expectation and exclusion are not the only things Abbott is dealing with; he also gets to grips with the sense of occasion that has been known to overwhelm players in the past. “It’s been of a case of keeping my emotions in check because it’s a huge honour and privilege playing here and it’s something I have aspired to for ages. That’s been more of a challenge for me – not trying to get too excited for a game,” Abbott said.Even as he did, he could not hide his excitement which he admitted has extended to “everything,” at this event. “One of my first cricketing memories was the 1999 World Cup, from actually watching international cricket and now to be part of it… now be part of it…. There is a lot inside me which I have had to keep under wraps. We’ve had time to let loose which has been nice. In eight days’ time, there could be a lot of steam let off. ” Especially if South Africa have a trophy in hand.

A expectativa é de bom público no Morumbi embalado pela vitória na 20ª rodada. No entanto, ainda não foi divulgada uma parcial de venda.

Além de manter o preço de arquibancadas e cadeiras superiores, o São Paulo reduziu o valor dos ingressos das cadeiras especiais (azul e vermelha) e da Morumbi Premium. A manutenção desses valores pela segunda partida consecutiva vem após dois jogos que tiveram aumentos significativos, como contra o Ceará e contra o Grêmio, que ofereceram bilhetes até 50% mais caros.

O Tricolor busca melhorar seus resultados como mandante tanto no Brasileirão, quanto na temporada, em que é o pior no quesito entre os clubes de Série A. Outro tropeço em casa pode ser crucial para as pretensões do clube no campeonato. Na sexta posição na tabela, os são-paulinos estão dez pontos atrás do líder Flamengo e têm quatro pontos de vantagem para o Grêmio.

Varun Aaron said that his six-wicket haul on the opening day of the Irani Cup has soothed some of his disappointment at missing out on India’s World Cup squad.”Domestic-wise, I rank it as my best performance” Aaron said. “I have been really cross with myself at not making it into the World Cup and this is the only way I could make myself feel a bit better.”Aaron revealed that he had spent some time working on his bowling with Dennis Lillee in Perth before returning home from India’s tour of Australia.”I had a lot of free time so I spoke to Dennis Lillee and spent around a week to ten days with him in Perth,” Aaron said. “He was very helpful. A few pieces were missing and the time I spent with him did a lot of good to me.”Aaron didn’t divulge too many details when asked to elaborate on what exactly these missing pieces were.”We worked on a few things on my bowling. He just remodelled a few things which are working for me now.”Rest of India opened their bowling with Shardul Thakur and Rishi Dhawan, and Aaron said he was happy coming on as a first-change bowler if the team wanted him to play that role.”I was asked to bowl one-change today,” Aaron said. “Rishi Dhawan is more of a swing bowler. Manoj Tiwary said to bowl him for three overs, because once the ball gets old it’s a little more difficult for him. He is a great bowler nevertheless. Whatever suits the team I am happy with it.”The last of Aaron’s six wickets came via a back-of-the-hand slower ball that trapped Abhimanyu Mithun lbw and wrapped up Karnataka’s innings. Aaron said he was pleased that the change-up came off, and said it was important the Rest of India bowlers thought outside the box to make a dent in a Karnataka line-up high on confidence.”I was satisfied with that,” he said. “I changed a few things here and there, because these guys have been doing well throughout the season. If we stuck to simple things, I doubt if it would have worked because Karun Nair just came back after a brilliant 300 in the Ranji Trophy final, and everybody is on a high at the moment. I think it was important for us to deliver as a team and get them all out as early as possible.”

A campanha realizada pelos torcedores do Botafogo na internet permanece rendendo frutos aos funcionários do Glorioso. Nesta segunda-feira, 50 cestas básicas foram entregues no Caio Martins, sede das categorias de base do clube de General Severiano. A grande maioria destas foram adquiridas através do dinheiro arrecadado pela vaquinha online.

Caio Martins é a terceira sede do Botafogo que tem acesso às cestas básicas. Antes, o Estádio Nilton Santos, central do futebol, e General Severiano, parte social do clube, tiveram os funcionários recebendo alimentos e produtos de higiene pessoal. Agora, o único local que ainda não recebeu nenhuma cesta básica foi o Mourisco Mar, sede do remo.

Das 50 cestas básicas entregues, 30 foram adquiridas a partir do dinheiro da vaquinha online, que arrecadou mais de 34 mil reais em menos de uma semana, e 20 foram compradas com a ajuda de torcedores. Ao todo, mais de 200 cestas básicas já foram entregues aos funcionários do Botafogo.

Os jogadores e os funcionários do Glorioso estão com um mês de salários atrasados junto à diretoria. A situação já foi mais complicada, tanto que, alguns trabalhadores, quando estavam com dois meses de seus vencimentos atrasados, procuram rendas de fonte extra pelo trabalho informal.

Focado neste difícil confronto do Azulão, o meia Didira, um dos principais jogadores do elenco alagoano há algumas temporadas, pediu inteligência da equipe durante os noventa minutos de partida contra os catarinenses.

– Vamos para mais um jogo importante para a nossa equipe na Série A. É uma decisão para os dois lados. Temos que ter total atenção para buscarmos essa vitória em casa, diante da nossa torcida. O grupo sabe da importância dessa partida e vai lutar muito para vencê-la. Estamos encarando como uma verdadeira final – disse.

Ainda de acordo com o jogador, a meta do Azulão é deixar o Z4 da Série A o quanto antes. O CSA tem 19 pontos na 18ª colocação, três pontos a mais que o Avaí, rival desta rodada, que está na 19ª posição.

-O elenco tem lutado muito para deixar o Z4 da competição. Vamos manter esse ritmo forte para que isso seja possível e para que possamos encerrar o ano com o CSA garantido na Série A – afirmou.
