The Dodgers captured their second consecutive World Series title on Saturday night after a thrilling 11-inning Game 7 vs. the Blue Jays.
Los Angeles has grown its roster in the past few years to build the powerful championship team it has become. Two players who are new to the team are starting pitchers Tyler Glasnow (joined in 2024) and Blake Snell (joined in ‘25). Glasnow now has two World Series titles (he didn’t compete in the postseason last year due to injury), while the two-time Cy Young award winning Snell just secured his first one.
Funny enough, the two pitchers were teammates on the Rays in 2020 when Tampa Bay faced the Dodgers in the World Series, which Los Angeles ended up winning. They both ended up in Los Angeles and now have World Series rings of their own after failing with Tampa Bay.
While celebrating in the locker room at Rogers Centre on Saturday, Glasnow dropped a hilarious, but somewhat cringey, line about players who have lost to the Dodgers in any previous World Series.
“If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em, baby!” Glasnow said, followed by high-fiving Snell.
Both pitchers made relief appearances in Game 7. Glasnow pitched 2.1 innings, throwing two strikeouts and giving up three hits and one run. Snell appeared in the eighth and ninth, striking out two batters and giving up one walk and one hit. The Dodgers went on to win 5-4 in the 11th inning.
Bayern Munich are now in contact with the representatives of a Manchester United star, who has been told to leave the club by Old Trafford legend Paul Scholes.
Man Utd targeting midfield addition in 2026
The January transfer window is now less than a month away and Man United could once again be active on the hunt for reinforcements. In the summer, it was their frontline that took the focus as they welcomed Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha. Now, however, INEOS are looking to add to Ruben Amorim’s midfield.
It’s not a major surprise that the Red Devils are after a midfielder. Casemiro is an ageing option, Manuel Ugarte has proved to be an unreliable option and Mason Mount’s injury history speaks for itself. As such, a move for Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton would make perfect sense.
According to The Mirror, the England international sits at the very top of United’s wishlist even though he wants the guarantee of Champions League football next season.
Bad news for Mainoo: INEOS make £70m "passing machine" Man Utd’s no.1 target
Man United’s need for a new centre-midfielder is as pressing as ever.
ByAngus Sinclair 4 days ago
For those at Old Trafford, it could be a case of one in one out if they sign Wharton but allow Kobbie Mainoo to leave in 2026. The Carrington graduate has been left aside by Amorim this season, despite the fact that the manager blocked his attempts to leave in the summer and told him to fight for his place.
The midfielder could now follow the path of Scott McTominay and others by thriving away from Old Trafford, especially if it is Bayern Munich who secure his signature.
Bayern Munich make contact with Mainoo
According to TeamTalk, Bayern Munich have now made contact with Mainoo over a 2026 move away from Man United. The German giants have joined the likes of Napoli in the race to sign the 20-year-old, who is increasingly desperate to leave his boyhood club when the chance arrives.
Mainoo isn’t the only one frustrated by his current situation, either. Man United legend took the Instagram after the midfielder was an unused substitute against West Ham United to say: “Bulls**t. The kid is being ruined, not being played in a team that can’t control a game of football. Hate seeing home grown players leave but it’s probably best for him now. Enough is enough.”
At his best, meanwhile, the academy graduate has earned high praise from teammate Bruno Fernandes, who described him as “great” after he first burst onto the scene while journalist Alex Turk has even described him as a “future £100m+ footballer.”
Praise from his captain isn’t enough for Amorim, however, who has not given Mainoo a fair chance since blocking his late loan move away from the club in the summer.

That will open up fresh possibilities for Sri Lankan cricket with day-night Tests becoming more viable in the country
Andrew Fidel Fernando26-Nov-2025The Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) ground in Colombo will get floodlights and other upgrades in preparation for the Men’s T20 World Cup, which Sri Lanka co-hosts with India in February and March next year. Although the SSC has occasionally hosted daytime limited-overs internationals – especially women’s games – Colombo’s day-night games have all been played at Khettarama (R Premadasa Stadium), which in any case is the highest-capacity stadium in the country.SSC’s first match that will require lights will be the T20 World Cup Group B game between Oman and Zimbabwe, scheduled to start at 3pm local time on February 9. It is one of five matches the SSC is due to host at this World Cup. The first of those – between Netherlands and Pakistan on February 7 – will begin at 11am local time whereas the third fixture – between Pakistan and USA on February 10 – is the only match there to start at 7pm local time. Khettarama is set to host at least eight matches, and possibly the first semi-final and the final if Pakistan make it that far. Pallekele, the only Sri Lanka World Cup venue not in Colombo, will host seven games.Building floodlights at the SSC will open up fresh possibilities for Sri Lankan cricket with day-night Tests becoming more viable in the country. Although Khettarama is the preferred limited-overs venue in Colombo, the SSC and the P Sara Oval are still preferred for Tests, owing partly to their reputation for being boutique Test venues.Related

Tottenham are ready to ramp up their interest in Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo as the north London club prepare to rival both Liverpool and Manchester City for the winger in January. Semenyo has a release clause worth £65 million ($86m) in his contract, something his suitors are acutely aware of ahead of the reopening of the market.
Semenyo in demand
Semenyo is a wanted man ahead of the January window. Not only have reports suggested that Liverpool are preparing a move to trigger his release clause in January, which is made up of a £60m ($79m) fee and £5m ($7m) in bonuses, there is also reported interest from City, who view him as the kind of explosive attacking player who can slot into Pep Guardiola's frontline. Semenyo has enjoyed a fantastic season on the south coast, contributing six goals and three assists in 12 Premier League games.
Now, Sky Sports report that Spurs are intensifying their interest in the Ghana international ahead of the window. The club attempted to land two marquee wide players in the summer but were only successful in persuading Mohammed Kudus to move to north London, as Savinho stayed at City. It appears they remain interested in the profile, but would prefer to sign Semenyo to the Brazilian.

Can Spurs land him?
Spurs have endured a difficult season under manager Thomas Frank, and while they are more ready to pay what is required to sign Semenyo, it is unclear if they will be able to qualify for Europe. Ahead of the midweek fixtures, Spurs had won just one home game all season, and sit in the bottom half of the Premier League table. A turnaround is, of course, possible, but reports suggest that Frank is under severe pressure, and could well lose his job before the January window swings open. It is unclear if that would impact Spurs' pursuit of Semenyo. They were interested in signing him in the summer but ultimately baulked at his £70m ($92m) asking price.
Semenyo supports Arsenal
Semenyo has been very open about the fact that he is an Arsenal fan, which may well put the brakes on any potential move to Spurs. Having already seen Gunners fan Eberechi Eze slip through their fingers, repeating that mistake would be very costly, but Semenyo insists he pays no attention to rumours.
Speaking to The Athletic in October of last year, he said: “I do hear it. But I try not to take too much notice. It is so early in the season and that can all fade away in a split second. It is great to hear they are interested — I don’t know how true that is — but I just want to focus on my game, continue doing what I’m doing, causing problems, scoring goals, getting assists. That’s the main thing. If that does come we will deal with that then but at this moment in time it is just about staying focused on what the goal and the plan is this year.”
“I am an Arsenal fan,” he says. “I don’t conflict the two with my job. It is great to play against Arsenal, a team I have watched all my life and I want to play for the top clubs as well. In order for that to happen I need to prove it.”

Semenyo's next move?
Semenyo will have his next opportunity to prove his worth when Bournemouth play Chelsea this weekend. They then take on Manchester United, and it's almost certain that scouts will be keeping a close eye on the Ghanaian's performances.
He has confirmed that he wants to play in Europe, adding in his interview with The Athletic: “Yeah, any team that plays Champions League, Europa (League) — that’s the aim. I know that’s not going to come with a click of my fingers, it’s going to take some time. It’s going to take goals. It’s going to take a lot of consistent performances. But I’ve worked all my life for that and I’m just going to continue working hard. That’s my mentality.”
Cameron Green, Liam Livingstone, Ravi Bishnoi, Venkatesh Iyer, Matheesha Pathirana and Wanindu Hasaranga are among 45 players that have listed the maximum reserve price of INR 2 crore to participate in the 2026 IPL auction. One notable absentee from the longlist is Australian allrounder Glenn Maxwell, whom Punjab Kings last year bought for 4.2 crore, making them the fourth franchise of his IPL career. However Maxwell, who is 37, sustained a fractured finger midway through the 2025 season and was replaced by fellow Aussie allrounder Mitchell Owen, who has been retained by PBKS.England allrounder Moeen Ali, like Faf du Plessis, has opted to play in the Pakistan Super League instead of the IPL. Moeen has been part of eight IPL seasons since 2018 and has won two titles with CSK. Among the other absentees is Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) legend Andre Russell, who retired from the IPL after not being retained and has joined the team as a “power coach”.A total of 1,355 players feature in the long list of players, accessed by ESPNcricinfo, which the IPL shared with franchises on Monday after the registration deadline closed on November 30. With a maximum squad size of 25 per franchise, a total of 77 slots are available to be filled at the auction, including 31 overseas players. The list will be pruned by the IPL once they have received wishlists from all 10 franchises ahead of the day-long auction which will take place in Abu Dhabi on December 16. The IPL has set December 5 as the deadline for franchises to submit their shortlist. While Indian players with specialised skillsets will be in contention for big money, the central focus at the auction is set to be on Australia’s allrounder Green, who did not participate in the 2025 mega-auction as he was recovering from back injury. Interest is likely to come from KKR (64.3 crore) and Chennai Super Kings (43.4 crore), who have the strongest purses going into the auction, and both have a slot available for an overseas player.KKR could be counted as a favourite to vie for Green, following this weekend’s IPL retirement of West Indies’ T20 great Andre Russell. Green has the ability to slot in anywhere in the batting order, and is also a handy seamer as well as an asset in the field.Related

Venkatesh Iyer heads long list of big-ticket players released by KKR
KKR released nine players, including Venkatesh Iyer whom they bought for a vast sum of 23.5 crore at the mega-auction last year, and have 12 slots to fill, including six overseas. The second-highest purse is that of five-time champions CSK, who have nine slots to fill, including four overseas players.Several of the names that were recently released by franchises have listed themselves in the highest reserve price bracket. This includes Sri Lanka fast bowler Pathirana, whom CSK had last year retained for 13 crore ahead of the mega auction. Though he was their lead bowler in the second half of the innings, especially in the death overs, his struggles with injury were a key reason for CSK’s subsequent decision.England allrounder Livingstone, who was bought by Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the mega-auction for 8.75 crore, lasted just one season with the defending champions after a below-par performance. The Indians who have listed themselves in the 2 crore reserve price include Venkatesh and Bishnoi, who was last year retained by Lucknow Super Giants for 11 crore. However, weak year-on-year numbers during his four-year stint led LSG to release the legspinner.Another Australian who played a key role in PBKS’s run to the final is wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis, but he too is back in the auction pool. Though this move came as a surprise to many, it is understood that Inglis could not commit to playing the entire 2026 season for personal reasons. On Monday, the IPL notified franchises that Inglis’s availability during 2026 season would be at 25%.Base Price of 2 crore: Ravi Bishnoi, Venkatesh Iyer, Mujeeb ur Rahman, Naveen ul Haq, Sean Abott, Ashton Agar, Cooper Connolly, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Cameron Green, Josh Inglis, Steve Smith, Mustafizur Rahman, Gus Atkinson, Tom Banton, Tom Curran, Liam Dawson, Ben Duckett, Dan Lawrence, Liam Livingstone, Tymal Mills, Jamie Smith, Finn Allen, Michael Bracewell, Devon Conway, Jacob Duffy, Matt Henry, Kyle Jamieson, Adam Milne, Daryll Mitchell, Will O’Rourke, Rachin Ravindra, Gerald Coetzee, David Miller, Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje, Rilee Roussouw, Tabraiz Shamsi, David Wiese, Wanindu Hasaranga, Mateesha Pathirana, Maheesh Theekshana, Jason Holder, Shai Hope, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has confirmed that an injured Spurs star won’t be back in action for a ‘long time’, with the Dane currently minus a few key first-team players.
Tottenham battle Slavia Prague in the Champions League
Spurs welcome Slavia Prague to North London tonight seeking to reignite their automatic Champions League knockout round hopes with a victory that would edge them closer to securing a coveted top-eight finish.
Frank’s side need all three points against the struggling Czech outfit to maintain momentum after Saturday’s morale-boosting 2-0 win over Brentford ended their miserable six-match winless streak.
The Lilywhites currently sit 16th in the Champions League standings with eight points from five matches, sitting just two points behind the automatic qualification places.
Saturday’s Premier League victory will give Spurs more confidence following the chaotic 5-3 defeat to PSG in their previous European outing, with Richarlison and Xavi Simons securing all three points against Frank’s former employers last weekend.
Despite their lacklustre home form overall this year, the hosts actually boast a formidable home record in European competition, remaining unbeaten in 22 consecutive European games at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs have won both their Champions League home matches this campaign without conceding, defeating Villarreal and FC Copenhagen.
History also favours Frank’s side, having never lost to Slavia Prague in four previous European meetings, recording three victories and one draw.
Slavia arrive in desperate circumstances, languishing in 31st with just three points from five matches and facing the genuine prospect of early elimination.
The Czech champions have endured a torrid European campaign, failing to register a single victory while remarkably going four consecutive Champions League fixtures without scoring.
Their attacking struggles represent their most significant weakness, with just two goals across the entire league phase.
Despite domestic dominance — sitting five points clear atop the Czech First League following Friday’s 2-1 victory over Teplice — Jindrich Trpisovsky’s side have repeatedly failed to translate that form onto the continental stage.
Their 3-0 home defeat to Arsenal highlighted the gulf in quality when facing elite opposition, while goalless draws against Atalanta and Athletic Bilbao demonstrated defensive resilience without much threat going forward.
Frank faces several selection concerns heading into the clash, though.
Destiny Udogie is sidelined with a hamstring injury which will keep him out until January, while Randal Kolo Muani is doubtful after limping through Saturday’s victory.
Brennan Johnson is also ‘touch and go’ for the encounter, according to Frank, but one significant positive looked to have emerged from Monday’s training session.
James Maddison was spotted working on the grass for the first time since rupturing his ACL during August’s pre-season friendly against Newcastle, with Frank providing an update on the Englishman.
Thomas Frank shares James Maddison update out of Tottenham
Regrettably, while the £170,000-per-week playmaker sparked excitement when he was clocked in training, Frank has confirmed in quotes relayed by The Press Association, that Maddison still won’t be back for a ‘long time’.
The 29-year-old, who bagged 22 goals contributions in all competitions last term (12 goals, 11 assists), has been a sore miss for Spurs as they heavily rely on the likes of Mohammed Kudus and Simons for their creativity.
Simons’ phenomenal solo run and goal against Brentford will have done the Dutchman a world of good for his confidence following real criticism since his marquee move from Leipzig in the summer.
The pressure is on him to deliver in the ongoing absence of both Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, with Frank also remaining vague about the latter’s recovery timeline.
After Slavia, Tottenham travel to struggling Nottingham Forest on Sunday, and only a win will do there too.
Rahul has not managed to convert his hundreds into big ones, with three of his last four tons ending at 100 or 101, though there’s no apparent weakness in his game

Chopra: A chance for Rahul to ‘right the wrongs’
Exactly 100 at Lord’s, exactly 100 in Ahmedabad. An untimely and uncharacteristically loose drive against Shoaib Bashir, an untimely and uncharacteristically loose drive against Jomel Warrican. The Ahmedabad 100 lacked the other elements of cricketing tragedy and farce that characterised the Lord’s 100. KL Rahul was not involved in a partner getting run out. His dismissal did not change the complexion of the game. But it was the same number on the scorecard. 100. The same number of runs added to his career aggregate.Related

Three of Rahul’s last four Test centuries have ended at 100 or 101. He was last man out when he made 101 at Centurion, so there’s no reason for anyone to hold that score against him. But if you’re among the growing band of well-wishers who wish his batting average would climb high enough to at least somewhat reflect his skill and Test-match accomplishments, the dismissals at Lord’s and Ahmedabad might have made you howl in anguish. And it may not just be one of those random things. Rahul has 11 Test hundreds now, and his average across those 11 innings – let’s call it his century average – is 128.54. It’s the worst century average of any of the 18 India batters who have scored at least ten Test hundreds. It’s the third-worst of the 146 batters, globally and across the full sweep of cricket’s history, to have scored ten Test hundreds.Hey, at least he isn’t as bad as Asad Shafiq and Tamim Iqbal in turning hundreds into big’uns.KL Rahul’s century against West Indies in the first Test was just his second at home•Associated PressThere are other factors that go into the century average – as an opener, Rahul will rarely score unbeaten hundreds – but nothing inflates that figure like big hundreds. That Rahul doesn’t have very many – he’s only crossed 150 twice, both times in 2016 – is one of the many reasons why he has a career average of 36.00 despite the many very good and great innings he has played all over the world. If you need reminding, he has six Test hundreds as an opener in Australia, England and South Africa – Sunil Gavaskar, with seven, is the only Asian opener with more – and another as a middle-order batter. There are, of course, other reasons for Rahul’s average being what it is and what it isn’t. He went through a horror run across 2018 and 2019, when his technique and judgment of his off stump fell apart, possibly because he was trying to be too many things – unshackled aggressor in T20s as well as Test opener in challenging conditions – at the same time. He has played much of his Test cricket in an era of bowler-friendly pitches, and he’s happened to miss Tests, for various reasons, just when India’s top order has flourished on flat pitches.Rahul was dropped, for example, after the 2019 tour of the West Indies. Over India’s next two series, against South Africa and Bangladesh at home, Rohit Sharma, opening for the first time in Test cricket, and Mayank Agarwal scored six hundreds, including three doubles, in five Tests.Rahul was next dropped in 2023, after a lean run that culminated with two Tests against Australia on dustbowls in Nagpur and Delhi. Shubman Gill replaced him for the next two Tests, on another dustbowl in Indore, followed by a highway in Ahmedabad where only 22 wickets fell over the five days of a dull draw. Gill made a hundred in that Test.Of course he did. Top Test batters have always filled their boots when given the chance to do so. That insatiable greed to maximise the good times is a thing Rahul hasn’t really shown through his career, as his century average suggests. Or as his average for 2025 so far suggests. He’s having an incredible year for all intents and purposes, and it’s brought him an average of 49.92.KL Rahul averages 49.92 in Tests this year•AFP/Getty ImagesIt’s vexing, because Rahul, for most of this year, has looked technically flawless, showing no sign of even a minor weakness that a bowler could hope to target. He’s gone hours and hours without being beaten by a ball that didn’t deserve to beat him. He’s been watchful, but he’s also been alert to scoring opportunities. And yet, 49.92. It’s the second-best year he’s had in Test cricket. His best year, 2016, brought him an average of 59.88.That sounds pretty good until you realise that Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara had three years each with 500-plus runs at 60-plus averages. Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane did a 500-600 year once each. Rishabh Pant, Gill and Ravindra Jadeja – if their 2025 averages don’t drop below 60 – will have done it twice, once and once, respectively, by the end of the year.Rahul still has time to turn that 49.92 into something far more substantial and give the career needle a firm nudge in the direction of 40.The gap between Rahul’s numbers and the high ceiling he has demonstrated time and again makes his career one of the most fascinating of his time. But that gap also reflects the leap he hasn’t yet made, from batter of immense and proven quality to run-scorer of insatiable greed. Can he make that leap now, at 33?
Mohamed Salah has, as he generates plenty of headlines at Liverpool, been nominated for a top award that has previously been won by Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Erling Haaland. The Egyptian superstar, who is facing questions of his future at Anfield, is one of the nominees for a prize that will be handed out at the 2025 BBC Sports Personality of the Year gala.
Past winners of BBC World Sport Star award
Salah is one of six shortlisted athletes for the World Sport Star award. Footballers figure prominently on that roll of honour, with all-time greats Messi and Ronaldo having previously seen their exploits recognised. Manchester City striker Haaland also landed the gong in 2023 after helping to deliver a historic Treble to the Etihad Stadium.
Other former victors include tennis greats Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, Olympic sprint king Usain Bolt, gymnastics icon Simone Biles, UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov, golf superstar Tiger Woods and boxing GOAT Muhammad Ali.
AdvertisementContenders for 2025 World Sport Star award
Salah is among the contenders in 2025 after helping Liverpool to Premier League title glory last season. He plundered 34 goals across all competitions, with 29 of those landing him a fourth top-flight Golden Boot in English football.
Competition for the prestigious World Sport Star prize is provided by Swedish pole vault world champion Armand Duplantis – the current holder of the award – athletics star Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Spanish footballer Mariona Caldentey, American boxer Terence Crawford and Japanese baseball player Shohei Ohtani.
Should he take first place, Salah would become the first Egyptian to claim the BBC award. The trophy will be handed out at the Sports Personality of the Year show on December 18. Salah will not be in attendance regardless of the outcome of a public vote, with the 33-year-old forward preparing to head off with his country on Africa Cup of Nations duty.
What Salah said in explosive Liverpool rant
It remains to be seen whether he will figure for Liverpool again before and after another major tournament is graced at international level. Questions are being asked of Salah’s future following an explosive outburst.
Speaking after being benched for a third successive Premier League game, with no minutes seen in a dramatic 3-3 draw with Leeds, Salah told reporters that he is being thrown under the bus by Liverpool during an inconsistent 2025-26 campaign. He also revealed that his relationship with Reds boss Arne Slot has broken down.
Salah said during a remarkable rant: “I don't know why, but it seems to me, how I see it, that someone doesn't want me in the club. I don't know why this is happening to me. I don't get it. I think if this was somewhere else, every club would protect its player.
“How I see it now is like you throw Mo under the bus because he is the problem in the team now. But I don't think I am the problem. I have done so much for this club. The respect, I want to get. I don't have to go every day fighting for my position because I earned it. I am not bigger than anyone, but I earned my position. It's football. It is what it is.”

Reds legend Jamie Carragher is among those to have reacted to Salah’s comments. He has told : “I thought it was a disgrace what he did after the game. Some people have painted it as an emotional outburst, I do not think it was. A January transfer is already being mooted, amid talk of renewed interest from the Saudi Pro League, with Slot taking to leaving the 250-goal forward out of his plans for a Champions League clash with Serie A giants Inter on Tuesday.
The Australia legspinner claimed three wickets in the opening game of the season the Hobart Hurricanes produced a superb chase
AAP and ESPNcricinfo staff09-Nov-2025Danni Wyatt-Hodge dominated Hobart Hurricanes’ chase•Getty Images
Danni Wyatt-Hodge and Nicola Carey shared a Hobart Hurricanes record stand as they opened the season with their highest successful chase in the WBBL.Sydney Thunder’s middle order all scored rapidly, but the 143-run third-wicket partnership off just 82 balls between Wyatt-Hodge and Carey ensured Hurricanes could get home with three balls to spare, and in reality it was a little more comfortable than that with Shabnim Ismail doing well to force it into the final over.Wyatt-Hodge launched three sixes in her 52-ball 90, her highest score in WBBL, and might have been able to reach a century with 12 needed when she fell to Sam Bates. Carey finished unbeaten on 58, placing the ball expertly throughout her innings after Hurricanes had been 27 for 2 following the early losses of Lizelle Lee and England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt.Unlike Hurricanes, Thunder didn’t have a batter build on their start. Tahlia Wilson and Georgia Voll added 55 for the first wicket before falling in the space of five deliveries. Phoebe Litchfield played a stunning reverse sweep and raced to 16 when she fell to Molly Strano.Overseas duo Heather Knight and Chamari Athapaththu both played useful hands while Laura Harris, in her first game for the club, cracked 20 off just seven balls but fell with 21 balls remaining when she could have done some serious damage.
Ashleigh Gardner produced the ultimate captain’s performance to lead the Sydney Sixers to a crushing 10-wicket WBBL win over the Perth Scorchers at the WACA.Gardner’s first match as full-time Sixers skipper was as close to perfection as you could get, with the 28-year-old snaring a remarkable 5 for 15 off four overs as Perth were skittled for 109. They were the best WBBL bowling figures by a Sixers player. In reply to Scorchers’ meagre total, Sixers then raced to the victory target with a whopping 43 balls to spare courtesy of breezy knocks from Sophia Dunkley and Ellyse Perry in a performance that will send a huge warning to the rest of their opponents.Gardner’s rampage began with the key wicket of Sophie Devine, who was stumped in almost accidental fashion after wicketkeeper Emma Manix-Geeves fumbled the ball. Devine was initially reluctant to leave the ground but slow-mo replays confirmed the ball had dislodged the bail and not the keeper’s gloves.
